TaskMaster ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal task management application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

2 Information We Collect

TaskMaster does not collect, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information on our servers.

All data you create in the app — tasks, notes, deadlines, categories, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device using your device's local storage.

3 AI Features & Third-Party Services

TaskMaster includes optional AI-powered features (smart task breakdown, natural language entry, daily briefing, and others). When these features are used, the content of your task — such as its name, category, priority, and notes — is sent to Anthropic via their API to generate a response.

Specifically:

• Task names, notes, categories, and subtask text may be sent to Anthropic's API.
• No account information, device identifiers, or personal contact details are ever sent.
• AI features are opt-in and can be disabled at any time in Settings.
• Anthropic's handling of this data is governed by the Anthropic Privacy Policy.

4 Data Storage & Security

Your task data is stored on your device using AsyncStorage, a local persistence library. It is not backed up to any cloud service operated by us.

If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed from your device.

5 Notifications

TaskMaster may request permission to send local notifications to remind you of upcoming deadlines and provide a daily task digest. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve transmitting data to external servers.

6 Analytics & Advertising

TaskMaster does not use any analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking technologies. We do not collect crash reports, usage statistics, or behavioral data.

7 Children's Privacy

TaskMaster is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since no personal data is collected by the app itself, there is no special risk to minors beyond standard device use.

8 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
